Via robling_t:

It's nice to see that even in these tough economic times, humans can still dream big, man. (Srsly, I so want to do this. But not badly enough to, um, go to Arkansas...)

Yeah, wow, me, too. This is just amazing (but it looks a lot like a castle-building game I was playing maybe 15 years ago...

Well, you can hire these people - they will work anywhere in the US:

And of course, these people in France have been working on a castle project for over a decade now, and probably inspired the people in Arkansas. Would you move to France?

Ooh! You mean I could have my very own castle! (Brother would so try to take it over...)

Yip!

(no, I won't move to France, s'il vous plait.)

Maine has rugged mountains, forests, and plenty of land.

*grins*

Try. You aren't *that* cool, little Brother, that you'd easily succeed at that.

I'm not a fan of France, myself.

Those people are so cool. I love their castles. Found that site ages ago.

And yes, your very own castle!

Something socio-politico-cultural that we agree on? Wow!

I've been there. The people are rather snooty. And I don't speak the language.

The first time I went to Paris, it was horribly dirty compared to Switzerland where I had last been and all the lights (traffic lights, crosswalk lights, neon signs, boats on the river) were WAY too bright. It was painful.

The second time I went, I got lost on the way back to my hostel for a good hour or two. It was scary and confusing, and I nearly had to spend the night in a subway station.

France has left me with a rather bad impression. Doesn't have much to do with politics! Although, from what I have heard about riots in Paris, I might not like those either...

Well...

One of my projects, if I ever have access to the right materials, is to put some of my poetry onto ceramic plates and chuck them into the local landfill. Because that's where future archaelogists will look for artifacts.

Re: Well...

That's a beautiful idea!

I want to do that, too - does you have, locally, one of those paint-your-own-pottery places?

Re: Well...

There may be one, but that's not what I'm planning. I want to press the letters into the clay as indentations. That lasts better than glaze.

Neat!

Aaah, very neat! And even more clever! Oooh, a poem carved into a flower pot! *bounce*

Re: Neat!

I had not thought of making flowerpot poems; I was just going to put them on flat slabs. But I will keep this in mind!
